Sketchbook: Adriana Bravo

The AJ’s Sketchbook series is a showcase of architects’ sketches and concept drawings. Today’s sketches are by Jestico + Whiles architect Adriana Bravo

I’m a 28-year-old architect, originally from Spain. After graduating from the University of Barcelona and getting some years of experience in Spain, I decided to challenge myself once again, moving to London in 2018.

I always find a way to keep developing my personal skills, like drawing or painting. I often end up drawing quick sketches at home or when travelling, as well as spending hours on a more detailed painting or illustration that may have popped to mind.

It’s a passion I’ve had since I was a child; I believe drawing is a really beautiful way of communication. I understand it as a universal language and a really essential tool for an architect.

While working from home during the lockdown I have had time to somehow discover and admire little ‘hidden gems’ from my home that are a part of my day-to-day life and, of course, I wanted to capture them in my sketchbook.
